Smash Burger


1 Future Farm Burger Patty

2 white Onions

1 Tbsp Brown Sugar

1/2 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar

1/2 Cup Plant Based Milk

1 Cup Corn Starch

2 slices Vegan Cheese

1 Tbsp Spiced Pepper Blend

1 Handful Spinach

Vegan Brioche Burger Bun

Vegan Burger Sauce:

2 Tbsp ketchup

1 Tbsp Vegan Mayo

1 Tsp American Mustard

1 Tsp Smoked Paprika


1. Start by slicing the 1st onion into half rings. Grab a skillet add some oil to the pan and drop in the onions. Let’s them cook for 3 mins over a medium heat. Add in the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar and turn the heat down to low, let them cook slowly for 10-12 minutes until they start to caramelize.

2. Grab the second onion and slice into thick rings. Drop them into the bowl or milk and cover and then drop them into the bowl of corn starch. Get a pan hot and add some vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot carefully place the covered onions into the pan, let them brown for 3-4 minutes.

3. Next grab the burger patty, slice it in half and roll it into a ball. Do the same with the the other half. Add to pan over medium heat with a drizzle of oil. Press down with a metal spatula until it’s a thin patty. Repeat with the other ball. Season the tops with spiced pepper blend and flip to cook the other side.

4. Add the vegan cheese slice onto the top of one patty, then top that patty with the other patty and put vegan cheese on that too. Splash some water into the pan and quickly cover the patty’s with a saucepan lid to steam the cheese to help it melt.

5. Next make the burger sauce, add all the burger sauce ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

6. Grab the brioche buns, spread some of the burger sauce on the base. Top with the spinach, then the smash patty’s, then the caramelized onions, then the battered onion rings and then top with the lid of the brioche bun and ENJOY!!!
