2 tbsp of oil
3 tbsp of soy sauce
1 tsp of finely chopped ginger
1 tbsp of rice vinegar
1 tbs of sugar
3 cloves of finely chopped garlic
1 finely chopped chilli pepper
Step 1: Start by making your sauce
Using a medium-sized bowl, whisk your oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, sugar and ginger together.
Step 2: Make your chicken
Start by placing a large skillet placed over medium heat. Heat some oil and add your chicken into the skillet. Season with your chopped chilli pepper and some salt (to taste). Cook your chicken until it turns golden brown. The chicken should be done in approximately 10 minutes.
Pour your sauce over the chicken and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly and the chicken is cooked through. (This step should take 5 minutes).
Garnish your Teriyaki chicken with some sesame seed and chopped chives. Teriyaki chicken can be served over rice or vegetables (steamed broccoli).
